Lookout Cabin Adventure

Jordan and I continued our yearly tradition of staying in a forest service lookout cabin and stayed in the Mt. Baldy cabin in the Yaak wilderness. I had never been to the Yaak area before and boy is it remote! The forest is thick and the towns are tiny but it is sure beautiful. Unfortunately with all of the forest fires that surrounded the area, it was very smoky which diminished some of the views. Even with the cloud of smoke, the views were amazing. We spend one full day up at the cabin exploring, hiking, picking huckleberries and just relaxing. We spent another day checking out the nearby towns of Yaak and Troy and the beautiful sights in-between. I highly recommend checking out this beautiful corner of Montana. IMG_8511
